If so, what is going wrong or if it is not the correct way can somebody guide me to the correct way? Is the way I used to connect in XUbuntu correct for the version of Mint I now use? usb usb2-port4: couldn't allocate usb_deviceĪfter a long search I can not find any info on the -62 error. usb 2-4: device not accepting address 2, error -62 The command "mesg" gives an error message at the end of the listing: The command "lsusb" shows no device connected. From this moment no other USB hardware will work until reboot. The result is that after connecting the Garmin GPS unit shows a USB connection on it's screen but it does not show in the file-manager and the Garmin unit gets frozen.

What I have done so far (this workes fine in XUBUNTU 18.04): USB stick's, DVD R/W unit and so on work fine until I try to connect the Garmin GPS device. HP Elitebook 725 G4 AMD A8-PRO 9600B with a dual boot WIN 10/Linux Mint 20.2 XFCE 64 I have a problem connecting my Garmin Etrex 35T GPS unit via USB in Mint.
